Dragonhunter, by Richard Meyer
Pirates of the Caribbean, by Klaus Badelt, arr. by Lavender and Moore
Practice tips:
1. Always start with a scale! Advanced Orchestra members should be practicing D and G major scales for the first 3 minutes of practice time.
2. Method book exercises: spend 5 to 7 minutes on these by aiming to play it correctly 5 to 10 times in a row. Keep a chart and set goals!
3. Note reading: pick an easy exercise from your book, near your assigned exercise and practice naming the notes for 2 to 3 minutes until you know them really well.
4. Orchestra music: Spend the remaining 10 to 15 minutes on getting the passage we're working on as good as you can play it, by setting a goal to play it perfectly 5 to 10 times each day!
